Quality seems good, but ...

The quality of this seems fine, but their description was misleading about one thing: "When the camera is not in use, the monitor will disappear..." The picture, of course, disappears but it leaves behind a white box, which is a little jarring and out of place. Any passenger getting in the car will notice the odd, permanently superimposed box. You almost have to leave the picture on permanently to avoid the embarrassment. Unfortunately this phenomena is common with a lot of these less expensive systems.

Some changes

The unit was what I was looking for, but needs to have a few changes.
The cables from the front to read are too short by 12" both the power and video.
The white wire for the backup sense is 6' short.
Needed to extend the problem making adapter for power,video and extend the white wire.

Great product

I use this in a commercial vehicle. I like the monitor built in to the rear view mirror. I was dreading the idea of another gadget mounted in the cab of my van so this is less clutter. It automatically turns on in reverse and is crystal clear. Because it is in the mirror it's a natural fit to look into it while your backing. Because the wires have plug in ends you have to drill holes in the rear door for the camera. I wish it came with grommets that would have saved a trip to the hardware store. Other than that great product
