A Great Replacement or Dress Up for Your Silverado

I need to replace my OEM grill (and bowtie) after an inattentive drive backed into mine. My first stop was Amazon (naturally).

I liked the look of this grille and bought it. First one was damaged in shipment, but Amazon immediately replaced it.

Unfortunately, it comes with no instructions, so I had to do some research. However, installation is (literally) a snap. After you open the hood, remove the flat plastic shroud at the front of the radiator (top of the grille) by popping the plastic button snaps (the center round portion pops up with a screwdriver if you don't have the special tool - which Amazon sells).

Once that is removed, you can see all the snap clips except the two end ones at the end of the "wings" between the headlights. Just pop those out, position the new grille, and firmly (but slowly) press until the new ones 'snap' into place. I started at my left and went right, but I don't think it matters.

I matched i t with the black "All Sales 96183K Grille Emblem " that Amazon shows as frequently bought with this grille. Obviously I assembled the grille emblem and installed it on the grille first, then installed the grille.

Really spruced up my '06 Silverado.

I ordered this grill to replace my stock one. The first time it showed up via UPS the clips were broke off and there was a crack in the chrome. So i returned it for a replacement. Amazon did a fantastic job in sending me another one right away... However... Today i came home to see another one already on my porch. I opened it carefully and yet again.... another clip broke off BEFORE i even unwrapped it!!!! .... I have decided this is because of the poor/cheap plastic used to make this grill!!!!
