Nice, but not perfect

Installed today on a 2013 Chevy Silverado 1500. Installation was easy. Unlike a previous deflector on an older Silverado, this one does not come in contact with the outside of the hood, except....one end. One end of the deflector and the length of the deflector are about 1/2 inch away from the hood. This is nice. The opposite end, however, is coming in contact with the paint. Because the mounting lugs go into the factory holes inside the hood, there is no room for adjustment. This tells me there is a defect in the product, likely long term storage of the box on end caused that end to bend in. Plastic bumpers are provided, so I just stuck one to the bad end to prevent the hard plastic from rubbing the paint. I don't feel like going thru the hassle of returning the big box to get a new one. If I bought it from a local store, I surely would. If that one end wasn't off, I would give this product 5 stars.

Weathertech bug deflector

The deflector did not fit. The wrap around corners of the deflector touch the fender. This was purchased for a 2011 Silverado through amazon, not a different vendor. The part number was double checked to make sure the part was correct on amazon's and Weathertech's sites. Both indicated it was the correct part. The packaging indicates it is for a 2011 Silverado. Bottom line is it did not fit and I would not recommend it.

On the bright side, amazon's cusotmer service was top notch. Customer service was able to make decisions and I did not have to repeat the issue for several different people. They had sent a replacement deflector that arrived quicker than the first.

Unfortunately the replacement deflector had the same fit issue and was sent back along with the first one.

Looks Great!!!!!

This product is very easy to install you do not have to drill any holes. It only took me 15 minutes to install. The way this bug shield attaches is there are three screws that go into a washer on the other side of the bug deflector and you line them up to the three holes on your hood push in and tighten the screws. Has you tighten the screw into the rubber washer it expands and makes a tight fit, don't worry the deflector wont go anywhere. There are also two adhesive stickers in between the middle holes and outside holes that you peel and stick under the hood. I have had mine on for about a week now and I have had a couple people ask me about it. I also would recommend the weather tech wind guards, for the windows. Kind of ties the truck together if you ask me.
